To begin your hygiene appointment, one of our hygienists will examine your teeth, remove plaque and tartar, then floss and gently polish your teeth. Dental x-rays may be taken, if necessary. Lastly, one of our doctors will conduct an oral examination, and discuss your oral health and any questions or priorities you may have.

Our soft tissue laser allows us to treat issues like periodontal disease and cold sores, and take biopsies quickly without any pain. This painless treatment takes only few minutes and consists of simply applying a fluoride-rich gel or varnish to your teeth. Dental sealants are a proven and effective method of preventing cavities in at-risk individuals. They consist of a liquid resin that is applied to cavity-prone grooves or pits in the teeth. Then, a curing light is applied to harden the liquid resin material. This creates a strong, tooth-colored barrier that prevents aggregation of plaque, bacteria, and food debris. When properly applied, dental sealants can successfully reduce your cavity risk and prevent decay for years.
We include oral cancer screenings in all of our standard oral exams. We will use advanced tools like intraoral cameras to assess your dental health and keep an eye out for any potential signs of lesions or cancerous growths. Oral cancer screenings will give you peace of mind and ensure that you get the care you need in the rare event that we notice an issue.
We offer both minimally inhaled sedation (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation. Both are great options if you are anxious about your upcoming dental appointment or you would simply like to relax in the dental chair. Sedation is also beneficial for patients with a strong gag reflex.
