Rather than bulky, uncomfortable wires, brackets and rubber bands, Invisalign uses a series of discreet clear plastic aligners. These aligners look similar to a retainer or a night guard for teeth grinding. They are designed to apply even, gentle pressure to your teeth and shift them toward the proper position over time.
Each treatment plan is created and supervised by Dr. Meadows, to address your specific dental needs and priorities. In most cases, each set of aligners is worn for 20-22 hours per day. As you wear your aligners, your teeth will gradually shift based on your treatment plan. Our doctors will also monitor your progress at regular intervals, and when you have successfully completed treatment, we'll make sure you have a set of retainers to preserve your beautiful new smile!
Invisalign can fix a number of orthodontic issues. We typically use it to address dental issues like gaps in a smile, uneven teeth, crooked or crowded teeth, and minor bite alignment problems. We also will frequently use Invisalign as part of cosmetic veneer cases, or to improve surgical outcomes for implant cases!
However, Invisalign may not be a good option for patients with severe orthodontic issues. Traditional braces may be necessary if we need to address a significant bite issue or severely crowded teeth. We work with a number of excellent specialists in the area, and we would be happy to help coordinate your treatment with an orthodontist, if necessary.
It depends! The cost varies based on the length of treatment and the treatment goals. For most patients, the cost of Invisalign is well worth the investment due to Invisalign's discreet, low-stress process, and beautiful results.
