Dr. Melissa Minger, DMD, FAGD, is a residency trained general dentist in La Jolla, California. Since 2007 she has provided her patients with exceptional care and personal attention.
Dr. Minger graduated from Converse College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency training at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She also completed a Sleep Medicine residency for dentists at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and she has received the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Minger’s primary focus is Comprehensive Adult Care. She focuses on treating patients who have complex dental problems, dental esthetic concerns, TMD issues, and sleep issues.
In 2008 she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Florida. During her time in Florida, she became proficient in providing and treating multidisciplinary complex cases, emergency treatment, dental implants, endodontics, hospital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and administering oral conscious sedation.
Early in her career, she was a leader in local and state dental societies and multiple volunteer organizations. She is committed to continuing education completing the curriculum at the Dawson Academy, Pankey Institute Alumni, and currently involved with Spear Education as a Faculty Club member and a part of many dental study clubs locally and on a national level.
Internationally, she has fulfilled her passion for serving by providing dental services since 2003 in multiple countries and continents. Her passion for dentistry shines through her detailed work every day on her cases and treating her patients like they are our family. She loves creating and rebuilding smiles that may have been worn down over time or need conservative touch-ups. She enjoys working with her patients and her team of specialists to come up with the best treatment plan for you.
In her free time, Dr. Minger loves to travel. She enjoys anything and everything outside, tennis, kayaking, SUP, hiking, boating and most importantly spending time with friends and family.
